Scott Welch
As a long standing professional boxer, he won The British Heavyweight Title, The CommonWealth Heavyweight Title and the WBO intercontinental belt. With an outstanding amateur career of 37 fights, losing only to a handful and impressive 17 KO’s. With his strength and determination to succeed and be the best, he always returned to beat the opponents he had lost to. Known for his ferocious and intimidating boxing style, his ambitious campaign and relentless ambition to reach the top meant he was respected and loved by many. He then went on to fight for the World Title, only to lose to a close decision on points
Since then he retired and focused his attentions on training others and still pushing it to the limits in endurance events such as the Marathon Des Sables, Machu Pichu Trail, Kilimanjiro, tough guy events and the 2000 mile challenge. More recently he has become a UK Chairman for WBC Cares. He currently is running projects to work with Youth at Risk from a life of criminality or violence, homeless people & people with mental health issues as well as giving out special awards to those who deserve the help & praise, all through boxing in the community.
